Wash: We begin by power washing your house (or other structure) with a high-pressure power washer. We will also strip any existing paint, if necessary.
Prep: One to two days of drying time are required (depending on the weather) to prevent bubbling and imperfections in the paint and primer. We scrape and sand all flaking, chipping, or peeling of existing paint, after which we apply primer to all bare wood surfaces. Blistered (Bubbling) siding will be brushed and back rolled to help seal the siding for best final coat appearance and texture. However, not all blistering can completely be concealed upon completion.
We then caulk the entire house, using a 45-55 year caulk to seal all soffit vents, corner boards, door jambs, cracks, and any other necessary places to make the final job look clean and neat.
Paint: After the house has had the proper time to dry, we begin the painting process. We apply all paints according to manufacture specifications to insure all warranties are intact. Most warranties require the application of the paint at a proper thickness both when wet and after dried. We apply most interior paints in a two-coat process to thickness specifications and if necessary add more for coverage or hiding at our discretion.
All trim, window trim, corner boards, side batting, fascia, and doorjambs are brushed and rolled with two coats of paint. Gutters are primed and painted using an airless sprayer and fine finish tip. The body of your structure is painted using an airless sprayer to apply the paint at the proper thickness and overlapping by 50% one time to insure coverage and warranty. All primed and blistered areas are back rolled prior to spraying, giving them 3 layers of paint.
Clean: We know that your house is important to you. That is, after all why you are paying to have it painted. We make sure to maintain the cleanest workspace possible and leave the workspace cleaner than when we started. This includes picking up all trash, vacuuming, cleaning counters, etc.
Touch up Kit: A touch up kit that includes a pint of each paint or product used is left in a labeled box for you convenience (when available). Each sample is labeled with the color name or number, type or product, sheen, and location of usage for the job.
If a touch up request form is sent we will schedule touch ups within 3 days for your satisfaction.
